Hi there, welkom terug op mijn blog. De kerstmaand is begonnen en oh wat heb ik er zin in. Het wordt al lekker koud, sneller donker en velen zijn al begonnen met het decoreren van hun huisje. Ook ik ben al helemaal in de kerstmood en merkte dat ik veel leuke vragen kreeg over Kerst. Het leek mij leuk deze vragen te beantwoorden door een Kerst Q&A te maken. De video kun je hier bekijken. Voor de lezeressen en lezers onder ons heb ik onderstaand enkele vragen ook via mijn blog beantwoord. Lees snel mee!

1. Waar ben je met kerst?
Nou, met Kerst ben ik altijd bij mijn ouders te vinden. Naast dat ik echt een familiemens ben, zijn mijn ouders ook nog eens op eerste kerstdag getrouwd. Een heel bijzonder moment dat ik graag elk jaar met ze deel.

2. Als je de keuze had Kerst in een ander land te vieren, welk land zou dat dan zijn?
Om eerlijk te zijn ben ik met Kerst altijd in mijn hometown Amsterdam. Mocht ik het dan toch in een ander land vieren, dan zou dat zijn op een tropisch eiland zoals Bora Bora, de Malediven, Hawaï of de Bahama’s. Kerst gaat traditioneel gepaard met sneeuw en ik vraag mij toch af hoe dat nou in een warmer land gaat. Natuurlijk wil ik dan mijn hele familie en al mijn vrienden bij me hebben.

3. Wat vind je minder leuk aan Kerst?
Ik vind het altijd jammer als het niet iedereen lukt om bij elkaar te komen. Zo krijg ik veel uitnodigingen, maar lukt het nooit altijd om iedereen te bezoeken. Gelukkig hebben we naast Eerste kerstdag, ook een Tweede kerstdag en sinds een aantal jaar organiseer ik zelf een Derde kerstdag om alsnog Kerst met zoveel mogelijk mensen gevierd te hebben.

4. Hoe tuig jij je kersboom op? Heb je een thema of doe je maar wat?
Om heel eerlijk te zijn kies ik altijd voor een witte kunst kerstboom. Ik vind die persoonlijk mooier dan de traditionele groene. Wat betreft het thema kies ik altijd gewoon uit wat ik mooi vind. Als ik klaar ben met het optuigen lijkt het op een of andere manier toch altijd of ik voor een specifiek thema gekozen heb. Blijkbaar denk ik zelfs zonder na te denken in thema’s☺

5. Wat is je favoriete kerstlook?
Met Kerst ben ik dol op veel glitters en pailletten, maar net zoals in het dagelijks leven hangt het op de dag zelf af van waar ik zin in heb.

Christmas Q&A with Anna-Radha Ghiraw

Hi there busy butterflies, welcome back on my blog. The Christmas month is begun and I’m so excited! It’s getting colder, darker and a lot of people already started decorating their homes. Also I am getting totally in the Christmas mood. I discovered I got a lot of interesting questions regarding Christmas. So I thought, why not answers these question through a Christmas Q&A. The video you can watch below, but for the readers among us I also answered some of the questions right here. Read along!

1. Where do you stay at Christmas?
Well, with Christmas you always can find me at my parents. Besides I’m a real family person, my parents also got married on the first Christmas day. A very special moment I like to spent with them every year.

2. If you got the choice to celebrate Christmas in another country, which would it be?
To be honest, during Christmas I always stay in my hometown Amsterdam. But if I had the choice to be in another country, it would definitely would be some tropical Island like Bora Bora, the Maldives, Hawaii or the Bahama’s. Christmas usually includes snow, but I keep wondering how it would be to celebrate it in a warmer country. Of course I would take my whole family and all of my friend with me.

3. What don’t you like about Christmas?
I think it’s too bad if not everyone can be there. Like I get a lot of invitations, but I can’t go everywhere. But luckily we have a first Christmas day, a second day and I even created a third day, just so I can visit most of the people I would like to celebrate Christmas with.

4. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Do you have a specific theme?
To be honest I always choose a white synthetic Christmas tree. I personally like it more than the traditional green one. Regarding the theme, I don’t really have one. I choose whatever I like, and somehow it end up looking like I had a theme although I hadn’t. I guess my brain just works that way☺

5. What’s your favorite Christmas look?
With Christmas I always love a lot of glitter, glamour and sequins. But just like on regular days it all depends how I feel on the day itself.
