Hi there busy butterflies, today I felt a little less serious than usual. I little more floaty and well, maybe because I was thinking about a secret crush I have? Don’t be shocked. I will tell you all about it. I was thinking about all the phases I go through when I have a crush and thought by myself doesn’t every girl experience this? That’s why I figured I had to make a video about the 7 phases of having a crush.

First of all we discover our crush. Maybe you see him for the first time, or maybe you’ve seen him already but today he looks just that much hotter. Secondly you start your research like you’re training for joining the FBI. What does he like on photos? Who are his friends? What are his hobbies? And so on. Thirdly you need conformation from your girl squat, like showing them pictures and throwing phrases like ‘He really is hot isn’t he?’ and ‘Look at those muscles?’ Then the daydreaming starts and oh how wonderful it would be if you were together. Finally you collect your girl balls to start the small talk and if you do it right he asks you out on your first date. You expect every day dream to become real at this point, but oh boy what a disappointment it can be. This is the moment you realize how wrong you were and hope this never ever will happen again. All the energy you put into it, for nothing. But well, you know what they say: better luck next time.

Hallo daar bezige bijtjes, vandaag voelde ik mij wat minder serieus dan gewoonlijk. Iets zweveriger en ja, misschien komt dat wel omdat ik aan het denken was aan de secret crush die ik heb? Niet schrikken! Ik zal je er zo alles over vertellen. Ik ben mij namelijk al een tijdje aan het afvragen door welke fases wij vrouwen allemaal heen gaan als wij een crush hebben. En ja hoor, uiteindelijk heb ik zeven fasen kunnen onderscheiden, waar wij bij een verliefdheid door heen gaan en dat moest ik gewoon met jullie delen.

Allereerst ontdekken wij onze crush. Misschien zie je hem voor het eerst, of heb je hem vaker gezien maar ziet hij er vandaag toch wel heel aantrekkelijk uit. Ten tweede begin je aan je research of je bij de FBI wil horen. Hoe ziet hij eruit op foto’s? Wie zijn zijn vrienden enzovoorts. Ten derde heb je bevestiging van je vriendinnen nodig. Je laat ze foto’s zien en blijft maar zeggen: ‘Hij is toch echt knap he?’ Vervolgens begint het dagdromen en god wat geweldig zou het zijn als jullie bij elkaar waren. Als je dan uiteindelijk alle moed verzamelt om aan smalltalk te doen, vraagt hij je waarschijnlijk uit op een date. Nu verwacht je dat al jouw dagdromen uit zullen komen, maar goh wat kan dat teleurstellend zijn. Op dit moment realiseer jij je dat het zonde was zoveel tijd te besteden aan een crush en het jammer genoeg niet uit heeft gepakt, zoals jij had gewild. Maar, je weet wat ze zeggen: better luck next time.
