Hi busy butterflies, today feels like a wonderful day. One of those days I get in touch with people and I get questions like why I’m always walking around with a bottle of water in my hands. This actually happened the other day and well, that’s when I figured… I should share my easy tips I use to boost my water intake. Read on and find out how I do it!
Sure thing, in the past my water intake was so low I probably was dehydrated all the time. But since I started to life more consciously a couple of years ago, I found out it really can be hard to drink enough water. I mean water is delicious, don’t get me wrong. But a lot of water just tastes like nothing. I struggled finding out how to increase my water intake without making it unhealthy, like drinking soda.
Now, a few years later I proudly can say I tried a lot of variety in my water and I found 4 very easy and very delicious combinations. Which I feel, are a must try! I’m sure you’ll be sold after trying it.
1. Ginger lemon water
I actually put some slices of ginger and lemon in a huge cup of hot water. Call it a homemade tea that tastes delicious and refreshing. Besides ginger and lemon have a lot of benefits for your health. Lemon for example detoxes your body and boosts the immune system. Ginger on the other hand has anti-inflammatory properties. Win-win if you ask me.
2. Strawberry mint water
Probably one of the more popular ones and justly! Using strawberries and mint in your water are really tasty and also very beneficial for your health. I personally use this combination with really cold water, also during colder months because it just taste that good. Mint kills bacteria and viruses. Strawberries help prevent heart disease, improve the memory and strengthen the immune system. Deliciously healthy!
3. Apple cinnamon water
Fall in a cup! This combination of fruit and water is well known for its metabolism and detoxing properties. I usually use a green apple (Granny Smith) with of course some cinnamon sticks. For this combination I use a pitcher, dice the apple and put everything in. Let it stand for some hours in the refrigerator and you’re ready to enjoy.
4. Raspberry blueberry water
One can never have enough berries as I say. That’s why I thought why not try raspberries and blueberries together. Both have amazing health benefits like antioxidants, vitamins, prevent cancer and can even prevent age-related cognitive decline. They’re also very good for your hair and skin. Both of these berries taste delicious and together they taste spectacular. If you might try this, I have to warn you: It will be hard to stop drinking your water!
Are you ready to try these amazing fruits and water combinations? It’s really important to drink enough water, also during fall and winter. You’ll feel a lot better and hydrated. That’s why I hope you’ll try it. Let me know your experiences!
